Supporting the Trust

There are many ways in which you can support the trust and relieve the distress of some of Luxor’s most disadvantaged children.

Donations are needed to boost the Trust’s funds and help us to provide the things that Luxor’s care homes and clinics are desperately short of. Donations can be made by sending a cheque or postal order to our UK address, by making a credit transfer directly into our bank account or by popping loose change into a collection box in Luxor. Regular monthly donations can be made by standing order and would be even more welcome as this would allow us to plan ahead.

All donations however large or small will be gratefully received. If you are a UK Tax Payer then we may be able to claim back the tax that you have paid on the donation you have made. Just print off and complete the Gift Aid form then either email it to us or send it with your donation. In this way a £1.00 donation quickly becomes £1.28. Details of our bank account are shown on the printable Donation Form.

Little Stars can accept credit card donations made through our PayPal account. To make a donation in this way click on the PayPal button which is shown on our Donations Page.

Sponsorship of a child or family food parcels is another way that you can offer support. There are Sponsorship Examples on our Projects Pages. Sponsorship involves a monthly financial commitment and can make a vast difference to the lives of Luxor’s most needy children. Payments are arranged through a standing order with your bank. Sponsorship of a child starts with a commitment of £10.00 per month and sponsorship of a family food parcel starts at £5.00 per month. You can cancel the standing order at all time.

If you feel that you can become a Little Stars sponsor then please complete a Sponsorship Form and send it to us, or just write or email us stating your preferences if you have any. A printable standing order mandate which you can complete and send to your own bank is available for your convenience.

When you visit Luxor, you could leave behind the things that you no longer need or which are not really worth taking home when your bags are full of all the souvenirs that you bought. Any toiletries, spare clothing, shoes, books or medicines that you can leave with us will all be distributed and used. If you contact us we will collect them from your hotel or they can be left at our offices.

Another way to help kids in Egypt would be to collect children’s clothes or any of the items on our wish list in your home country and bring them out to Luxor when you visit. If you are coming from the UK we might be able to help with an extra baggage allowance as some airlines will increase the allowance of passengers bringing charity items to Luxor. Contact us with a list of what you intend to bring, your date of travelling and the name of the airline that you are travelling with and we will do our best to get the extra allowance for you.
